The village of Coursegoules on the south side of the Cheiron range, offers unobstructed vistas over the mountains and green valleys. The village has a typical Provençal defensive architecture, built to protect the villagers from the pirates and Moors raids. You must see the remparts and gates, the Saint Marie-Madeleine Roman church ( 12 th century ) restaured in 1658, and the Saint Michel chapel ( 11th century). One must stroll through the labyrinth like narrow lanes and discover some the engraved stones and soberly decorated doors lintels, the Freinet façade, its various spring fountains, its water mill (12 th century ), porches and vaults, its old wood fired communal oven. One feels walking back in medieval times. Perfect place to enjoy the life of a small ( 450 inhabitants ) typical Provençal village.
Coursegoules, was during the Roman period a stop on the old hinterland Lyon trail. Pearched at 1.000 metres it offers an ideal climate, free of any polution, and only 40 km from Nice, Monaco 50 km, Antibes 40 km and Saint Paul de Vence 20km.

Coursegoules, little provencal village at 1000 meters.
Located at 37 km to Nice, close to Cannes ( 40 km ), Monaco ( 50 km ) , Antibes ( 40 km ) , Vence and Saint Paul de Vence ( 20 km ), overlooking the french riviera in the middle of Provence.
How to reach Coursegoules : take exit 47 on the Aix en Provence-Cannes motorway and from Nice/Monaco, exit 48, Cagnes sur Mer, and heading to Vence, Col de Vence and Coursegoules. From Digne by the Route Napoléon, after Castellane, take the Gréolière exit and Coursegoules.
